Applicants may be referred for electronic fingerprint capture by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), or Florida Department of Education. Employers, schools, and healthcare organizations may also request fingerprint-based background checks.
